Apple Tree Road

Oscar the little Billy goat and Sparky the dog.

Lived at the white house on Apple Tree Road.

They lived all together with their good friends.

Molly the tan bunny and Fred the green toad.

Oscar is covered  in black with dainty little feet.

He gets in trouble at least twice a week.

Sparky is a good little dog, His coat is dark red.

He likes to take naps in his own little bed.

On sunny days Sparky and Oscar would run and play.

Across the meadow and straight through the hay.

Past the barn at the back of the big white house,

To see if Kitty had caught her self a big fat mouse.

They'd run through the garden to the edge of the grass.

To look in the pond for Uncle Sam the black bass.

Finding some shade under a tree close by the stream.

They would both settle down for a nap and a dream.

Off in the distance , mother's voice they did hear,

Calling " Sparky and Oscar your dinner is here".

Sparky would take anything mother would make.

But Oscar would hope for a big piece of cake.

Oscar did like the cakes mother would bake.

If Oscar had his way he would never eat hay.

He could dance on his hind legs and do a jig.

For peanut and crackers or even a fig.

So if you are ever down on Apple Tree Road.

Stop in for a visit with Oscar the Billy goat,

Sparky the  red dog, Molly the tan bunny,

and of course,  Fred the green little toad.
