My ancestors came to America 3 or 4 hundred years ago.
They were from mostly from Northern Europe.
And as far as I know they entered legally through ports on the East Coast.

So perhaps I don't understand the problems facing Hispanics
and other minorities who sneak into the country
any way they can.
Now I don't blame them from wanting to come to live in this country.
With all of our problems there is a lots of things we do right.
Allowing illegal immigrates to protest in the streets,
demanding their rights
would not be allowed in most of the countries
they escaped from.

The problem as I see it is;
Do we just throw the borders open
and say come one and come all.
Or we control our population growth to match our resources
and provide for a system of immigration.

Now as I understand it,
we do have some Federal laws that govern immigration.
But they are never enforced at all or rarely
based on the political whims of our politicians.
Rather than securing our borders they wait until the
illegal population swelled up
and them just declare it would be
to hard to send them back to their former countries,
so all is forgiven.
Mostly to win the votes so they can pursue their own agendas.

Now the way we are set up is that States
can not pass laws to change federal laws
but can pass laws that back up Federal laws
Arizona has had their citizens murdered
and resources stolen, they are feed up.
They have drawn a line in the sand and
they said no more.

My point is if I want to cash a check,
or enter into a business relationship,
or get a drivers license,
I have to show an I.D.
If a person commits a crime or breaks the law,
And a peace officer notices that the person
doesn't speak English,
has no driver license, or any proper Id,
He may be led to believe,
that person should prove he is here legally.
That is not racial profiling.
If the majority of these illegal turn out to be Hispanic.
That is their own behavior that is causing the problem.

Do you want to help keep out Terrorists ?
Securing our borders may help keep some of them out.
Do you want the gang wars and other problems in Mexico
to spill over into Arizona and Texas.?

If is against the state law to drive with out a
drivers license or proof of insurance.
It is against the law, to be in this county illegally.
Our un-invited visitors,
don't seem to understand the word illegal.

While the major of the families that come here
may be hard working people ,
who just want a chance at the American Dream,
There is too many other illegal's ,
that have no respect for law
property rights or know how to act in a civilized way.

My solutions is to send all of them all back
to where they came from .
Then we can start all over again doing it right.
Put in an express line .
Let those who want to come here
get their back ground checks, learn to speak English
and have resources to live ,
with out taxing our welfare systems .
We could give them priority
We all would welcome them.
Let them come in the front door;
Then they would not have to worry about being called
"Wetbacks"
Oh dear, I forgot that word is not politically correct.

Forgive us, but we just don't want all the low class criminals types.
being sent to us because their home countries,
be it Mexico or other counties ,
can't solve their own problems or just want to get rid of their rift -raft.

Just the opinion of an old lady, but this is how I see it.
