He was the 4th son of James and Lydia Carringer Pilcher
He was the grandson of Daniel Pilcher.
the 1850 Census show him living on this land with his mother Lydia,
sister Louisa and half brother Willie.
He was a large man and an avid hunter.
Alvis was a prosperous farmer.
Millie Died in 1892 and is buried at Enon Baptist Church.
Alvis remarried to Rebecca Ellen Zackery. after the death of Millie
When he died in 1909 he was buried with Millie at Enon Baptist
Along with 5 of his children that died of T.B.
