Will Ya'll Listen To Us?  " Please "
Letter From Clif  Moudy
1-8-2008

What a shame politicians listen to the rich and powerful, and fail to listen to the general public.
How sad it is that we have to ask them to listen to us.
As anyone with a pulse, knows by now, the election of a new president is at hand, yes, even at the door.
With the frenzy that is already occurring, the coming year is destined to be a real whirlwind.

I believe there are few polls that ask the questions the general population is wanting to talk about.
Instead, they attempt to pigeon-hole the populous with a pre-set array of questions
to support their own agendas.

Having said that, I would like to address a few issues that I am certainly concerned with
and believe the rest of us want to hear good common sense answers to.

Oil.
Which of you political candidates want to limit or prohibit drilling for oil on any piece of American soil?  Let me give you a little clue as to how we feel about it.  DRILL !

As the price of gas threatens to limit and arrest the American lifestyle, you geniuses are saying no.
If you want to continue searching for alternative fuels,  "  DO IT."  In the meantime, keep our fuel prices reasonable.   The prices of food and everything else is affected by the price of gasoline and diesel fuel.
In my opinion it is evil, to make higher and higher profits at the expense of American citizens
There are so many American citizens that worry themselves to sleep every night
because of the lack of money

The United States has more oil in the Western states in the form of oil shale that anyone in the world.
If our politicians truly want to help our own citizens rather than lining their own pockets,
they would direct every possible means of technology into developing a profitable way to extract this oil.  This would eliminate the strangle-hold imposed on us by the oil producing nations of the world.

God
Alright, now that I have mentioned oil, let me go to something even more distressing.
Taking God out of the schools.
It is a sad day when we have gone from being able to say a prayer, to removing the ten commandments from our public schools.  When over seventy percent of Americans claim to be Christians,
how did we let this happen?

Now I see that the call to remove, In God We Trust, from our money, has actually been put into effect.  They have taken the words from the face of the new dollar coin and actually put them in the smallest place they could, the edge.  The edge of the coin is what wears out the quickest.
This is one more example of where America is placing God.
Making him smaller and smaller until he is eliminated completely.

Catastrophic Events
I know I can't be the only one that sees more and more catastrophic events happening to America and Americans.  We are having incredible fires, floods, droughts, and terrors striking at America.
America is the last great super power in the world and believe you me, the world is watching us all the time.  The rise of sexual immorality and the assault against the family is staggering.
America once had a hedge surrounding it, placed there by God, that protected us.
Now that we are throwing God out of everything,
I believe God is saying, if you don't want me, then you don't get me,
and the hedge is coming down.

Taking Back Control of Our Country
Friends, it is time to take control of our country
get rid of every judge that rules against God and the purity of family.
I read somewhere that the next president, if he stays two terms,
may place as many as five new judges on the supreme court.
If you don't think the spiritual convictions of the presidential candidates
is of extreme importance,  you need to re-examine your thoughts
of what you want you children and grand children
to be exposed to in the years to come.

Health Care
Health care.  Recently, I had a doctor in Lebanon, Mo.  refuse to treat me or my wife because of an out-standing bill of $80.00.  I didn't even know it was outstanding and when I found out, I immediately called his office and told them I would come pay it.  They said no, it didn't matter,
the doctor himself had dropped us.

To say I was flabbergasted, is putting it mildly.  This was my family doctor that I trusted and had used for almost five years.  He had collected my money and my insurance money, that amounted to thousands of dollars during my time as his patient.  My insurance company pays 90 percent and yet for the measly price of a night out for this doctor, he dropped me and refused to treat me even when I was hurt and needed care.  I was turned away for eighty dollars.
How much money did this doctor have, that he had no care that
he was losing thousands of dollars by refusing to treat me?

When this sort of thing happens, it cause me to consider all the millions of people who have no insurance and must suffer through illnesses or are forced to make a choice between food or medicine.  Recently I was standing in line at the Walgreen's at National and Kearney and this little old lady if front of me was short three dollars and change that she needed to pay for her prescription.  She and the lady that was with her had dug through their purses for every cent and then the one lady went running outside to look through the seats of the car in hopes of finding enough change to pay for grandma's medicine.

The pharmacist was about to take the elderly lady's prescription back and you could see the tears in granny's eyes.  That was all it took for me to quickly reach over and hand the lady a five dollar bill.  I quickly turned and left, but those tears have remained etched in my mind ever since.  What a shame the most powerful nation in the world, can finance any war we become involved in,
but forces  our poor and elderly to live in doubt, worry, and pain.

Yes, we need God in our schools and in our nation. We need politicians that live the Christ-like way that the title of Christian, that they proclaim to be, dictates.

Sincerely,
Clif Moudy
 Aurora Mo.

A Wake Up Call

All in all, my wife and myself are one of the lucky ones.  We have health insurance.
Having said that, it is no guarantee of medical treatment.

Three years ago we moved to Lebanon and I started using  a local doctor and  clinic located on East Hwy.   I always liked him and his clinic even though my wife didn't really care for him.

My wife has had serious health issues for the last several years and fortunately for us we had insurance.  Even though we had insurance, our share has amounted to a lot of money.  I am making payments not only to Cox Hospitals collection department, but also Ferrell Duncan Clinics.  They are all part of the Cox systems.

About a month ago, we received a letter stating that the doctor clinic  here in Lebanon would not treat us anymore because of a past due bill of $81.00 and some change.  I didn't even know I owed them anything. I receive so many medical bills they just seem to run together.   I called them and offered to pay it then, but they said that was their policy, and that was just the way it was.  I really didn't think much about it until I hurt my back last Friday and when I went in this Monday morning they refused to treat me.

Do you see this amount?  Eighty one dollars and change.  That's barely a night out for supper and drinks.  This health system has received thousands upon thousands of dollars from my insurance company plus what I've paid, but yet they refused me health treatment.

Yes, I will have to go somewhere else and it is an inconvenience for my wife and myself, but it really made me think.  If the doctors and medical facilities would do this to people that have insurance that pays them thousands of dollars, how must the poor and less fortunate be treated.

What does this say about a medical facility that will turn down a patient whose insurance company has paid thousands of dollars in the past and will probably pay thousands of dollars in the future, because of a miserly eighty one dollars?  I don't mind saying, I am astounded.

Now, before I say anymore, I am going to say that  Hospital in Springfield and the  Clinics in Springfield are a quality organization and my wife and myself have received wonderful care.  I sometimes wonder if it is just the bean counters that cause so much grief not only in the medical field but in many organizations.

Comments on Iran

Why does the world tolerate these rogue countries?

Iran sits there and spews out their hate and antiquated phrases of the distant past.

They are parading the British solders on tv and having them make statements
and write letters just like the savages of previous regimes did.

There is nothing going on in that country that is of a positive nature
and everything they do is evidence enough for the distrust of their having nuclear power.

To punish them we should box up Rosie and send her to them with no return address.

Politics in America.

All of us that stay in touch with the political process in America are witnessing the creation of a Presidential candidate and maybe even a President itself.

If I hear one more time of the great political possibilities of Barack Hussein Obama, I am going to be sick.  As we watch our nightly news programs we continue to hear the drumbeats in praise of a man totally un-recognized by the majority of Americans.

I am not trying to be funny or racist when I say, if you asked most Americans who Barack Hussein Obama was, they would probably say he is either somebody on the Iraqis most wanted list or the guy that has the movie out that makes fun of Americans.  It's as if a group of enormously powerful men from around the world has gotten together just to show how gullible and easily manipulated the American people are.

Ok, they say, lets find a totally unknown man that no-one knows anything about.  We will then hire the un-told hundreds of political elitist to bombard the nation singing his praises.  Not to mention, most of these supposedly savvy political figures are people no-one knows anything about, either.  To make it even more incredible, they pick someone with a name that Americans recognize as Islamic.  They are really laughing now.

This is no laughing matter folks.  Through the making of a presidential candidate that sounds Islamic, this is the beginning of the manipulation of American opinion to accept Islam as mainstream in America.  A favorite tactic of all take-overs is to destroy from with-in.

We as Americans, are long-suffering and accepting of all freedoms and the pursuit of happiness by all people even when it is not what we believe.  It is sad when our own tolerance for this pursuit of happiness, is used to destroy the basic principles that we believe in.

On the surface, Mr. Obama seems to be a sincere, up-front individual.  Time magazine names him one of the worlds most influential people.  A British journal called, New Statesman, listed Obama as one of ten people who could change the world.  Now really, these are very high powered statements for a relatively unknown political person.  Before we began considering someone for the most powerful political office in the world, I believe that person should have to spend time working his way up through the government and earn the acceptance and trust of the American people.

Some would call me paranoid, but the stakes are high and it is imperative that Americans not be manipulated by the rich and powerful, nor those that would attempt to change our doctrines, opinions, and freedoms.
