Green Eyes

Her cold green eyes like radiant jewels shine.
They came out of the past and into my mind.
She stares ahead as if the future she can see.
And the tears that she is weeping is for me.

She did not weep when she lived by the shore.
With many kin who were poorest of poor.
In the land of Atlantis back in days of old.
She had no pity, her heart was mean and cold.

Then the great judge the spiritual father to all.
Called her to him in that great judgment hall.
"Little Sister please listen, for this is your sin.
You have a fine mind and a position above men.

Your intelligent mind alone would set  you a part.
But before you can rule, you must have a heart.
You are sentenced to wander the pages of time.
But leave in the past your quite wonderful mind.
Behind  on the path that your soul must take.
There will come a time when your  will break.
There will come a time when your tears will flow.
You will remember this life from a long time ago.
