Henry F. High
1853-1880?
Henry F. High was the son of Wiley T. High and Mary Elizabeth
Duke.
Although there is a Henry High listed on the 1850 Census in Jasper County, Ga.
I do not think that is the same Henry High. Other records indicate plainly that
he was
born in 1853. He and his mother Mary E. High lived in Crockett. Tex. where he is
listed
as a "Teamster on the 1870 Census for Houston County .
He is last found with wife Elizabeth , and child Emma on the 1880 Census
for Houston County, Crockett, Texas. His mother is still alive and living with
him then.
Daughter of Henry and Elizabeth High was Emma High born 1880 in Texas. She married a Samuel Jackson W. Taylor born 1877 in Ala. His parents were John Jasper Taylor and Zanie Ann John.
Emma High had a child named Mary Elizabeth High born about 1897.
Mary Elizabeth married William F. Ward.
They are on the 1920 Census for Bridgeport and the 1930 Census for Wichita.
Their daughter Adena Ward born about 1920 married a Griffen Lee Harden.
