Sarah Jane High, born 1817, Ga.
Wm. Jasper  Goolsby ( B.1816) Ga  and Sarah   married  11-14-1938 in Jasper County  Ga.
They are on the 1850 Jasper County Census with 3 kids, Elizabeth, James, Julia
They move to Titus County Texas by 1860. They only had 3 children on the 1860 Titus County Census, Texas J. M. (James Marc) J.C ( Julia C.) J. M ( John W.)
They are on the 1870 Titus, Mt. Pleasant Census
Children are John W. age 18,  and 2 other children which are the children of John T. High and Lucy Chapman High. Francis age 13. and Pinkney age 8.

Elizabeth Goolsby  born in  1839 Ga. no further information as she is not on Census records here in Texas.

James  M Monroe was  born 1840 Ga Died 1921
He married Sarah F. Odell married 12-Dec 1867 Cass County.?
They are on the 1870 Titus, Mt. Pleasant Census. Children are David A, and Sarah.
Also there is a William High (s/o John T. High) living with them and 3 black High listed as servants. Lewis, Amanda and Annie High.
By the 1900 Census James is living in Hunt County. Wife Sarah and son Maynard and 2 girls  More information on the  "Goolsby Family History Page "

Andrew  Goolsby   born  about 1841, Ga. Died  after 1900  Tex.
I have him marrying Sarah Buckhannon, or an Elizabeth in Morris County
He is on the 1870 Titus, Mt Pleasant Census. Wife Sarah E and daughter Martha E. age 2.But he is not on the 1840  or 1850  Jasper County Census.
I found him on the 1900 Census for Morris County.
No wife, Daughter Martha,(31) Lora,(27) and son Burton. (29)
*There is still some doubt if Andrew's parents were William Jasper and Sarah High

Julia C., born 1849, Ga. (Sarah had a sister Julia born 1832 Ga.)

John W. born 1851 or 52 in Ga.? He is on 1960 Titus County Census and the 1970  Titus with William and Sarah.

William H, Goolsby  born June 1951 in Ga
Married Alice  born  Jan 1859, in Texas
He is not on the 1860 census with William and Sarah.
He is on the 1880 Morris County Census
With wife Alice, son Horace, Daughter Maud
His mother Sarah Goolsby and 2 servants Mandy Allen and Zip Allen.
 Mandy was born in Ga. .
William has moved to Greenville,Texas by 1900 Hunt County Census.
. He had 3 children Maude   (1878) , Horace  (1879) and Lillian(1881).
There is no record of Horace after age 21.
Maude  married J. Ellington Morris on 23 November 1897 in Hunt County. She had a daughter named Alice born about 1902. She was still living in Greenville on the 1910 Census.
Lillian married  a Fred Dixson or Dixon.  They lived in the Houston area.
Alice Goolsby  is on the 1920 and 1930 Harris County Census living with Lillian and family.
Fred and Lillian had one son named Fred who was born about 1812.
William  and Alice are buried at Harris Chapel near his parents. William Jasper  and Sarah Goolsby.

I have Wm Jasper Goolsby  dying in 1878 (Per Confererate Pension records for Sarah). He is buried at Harris Chapel Cem. as are his parents, John Tarlington Goolsby and Mary Margared Love Goolsby. The elderly Goolsby tomb stones are broken and William Jaspers is missing.  Records indicate that John Tarlington and Mary Margaret died in Marion County.
I believe that Wm. Jasper Goolsby was the brother of a George Goolsby also from Ga.
 Martha High Wise's  head stone is gone but she   and Wm. "Buck" Wise are buried there  at Harris Chapel.
I could not located any records for William Jasper Goolsby  as  the court house had burned.
