HIGH FAMILY TREE

There seems  to be several  High families
. One group are Swiss German, Another are  the English Highs.
There were also some Swedish High and a family of Cherokee Indian Highs
. If you are an expert on any of these  High lines
and have the time to help people with their research, please contact me .
I would like to add a list of experts  for the various family groups.

At this time our High family  seem to be from the English High's via  Georgia.
They settled in Crockett Texas after they came to Texas in 1860 ..
Would appreciate any information you might have on  John  High or his ancestors.
If you are descended from John High please register your family information
so that your family can be include in the High Family Tree.

 

Obituary Notice

I am sorry to announce that Grace Lawrence died May 2, 2008
Grace was one of the leading researchers of the Thos High Family Tree.
In 1999 she published "High Family Notes" Descendents of Thomas High Surry County,
Virginia. She was a lovely lady who was always willing to take time to help hundreds of people all over the county. Grace passed away at the North Florida Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Graceville, Fl. 32440.  She will be missed by many.
