Hominy Supper Dinner

What you will need

 Some Jimmy Dean Low Fat Sausage
Some good oil
Can of Golden Hominy
Can of favorite brand of  Baked Beans
 Medium size green bell pepper
 Medium size onion
 Some BBQ Sauce

Large Skillet

*Note this is a inexpensive, quick, tasty  skillet meal. Can be cooked even on a camping trip.
However although it has plenty of protein, not  too much fat , it is high in calories and Carbs.
It is best served in cold weather and to make it even more calorie ridden , I like to serve
 with it a pan of  fried slice  potatoes and onions sprinkled with a small amount of Rosemary spice.
Refrigerate left overs and  it makes an interesting sandwich cold the next day.


 Crumble and fry until brown a pound (or half pound ) if you want less  meat calories  ,  of Jimmy Dean lower fat sausage.
Add a couple spoons of oil as Jimmy Dean doesn't leave much  grease  in pan
 

Put in half of a thin sliced bell pepper
or use the whole thing if you like
Add
Dice a medium size onion
Sauté until tender

Add contents of  the can of drained hominy
 Stir Fry for a couple minuets.

 Add contents of  a can of baked beans 
Mix well .
Stir in  1/2 cup BBQ sauce
Mix

Turn down to low and let simmer for  5 or 10 minuets
It helps to blend the flavors.
