Loss of Hope ?

Before we can answer that question, how is hope defined?
I like what my 1975 issue of Webster's Dictionary says;
to cherish a desire with expectation of fulfillment.

Americans are like all mankind, we cherish peace, love, and freedom.
Our Declaration of Independence and our Bill of Rights,
state in no uncertain terms, exactly, where America Stands.
The lives lost and sacrifices made, are the foundations
on which our, expectations of fulfillment, are placed.
How sad it is that there are many,
whose only desire is to tear America apart
and make it into something far less noble.

     I
believe the loss of hope is what fuels the self serving nature
of the rich and powerful.

This same loss of hope creates distrust in the general population,
toward those placed in positions of authority that seem not to hear their cries.
The absence of wealth does not mean an absence of intelligence.
Through our media we are able to see the politicians in action
as they spar and bicker.
Meaningful accomplishments are few and far between.

As our country spirals down into an abyss
of financial and moral Armageddon,
we see our politicians becoming wealthy.
Its seems easy for them to let the populace bear the brunt of the suffering,
even as they, appear to prosper.
We are told that sacrifices must be made,
and  Americans are no strangers to sacrifice.
We work long and hard to provide comfort and safety for our families.
We teach our children the value of integrity and moral strength, all the while,
seeing what were once considered perversions, become accepted behavior.
Its seems easy for the politician to speak of hardships and sacrifices
when it is not the wealthy politician that bears them.
Don't speak to us of a green earth ,
when the only green you really appreciate,
is the green of a dollar bill.

As a believer in Christ, we have hope.
Seventy plus percent of Americans, confess a belief in Jesus.
 We believe He is real,
We believe that He said, in His fathers house are many mansions
and if it were not so, He would tell us,
He goes there to prepare a place for us.  Just like Ol  B. B. King sings,
Theres' gotta be a better world, somewhere.

Even though we get tired and beat down
from what seems to be one piece of bad news after another,
Americans are resilient.  We can stand together for the America we love.
We can accomplish great things because we are created in the image of God.
If we stand together, we can stop those with-in our government from destroying the America,
that in my opinion, is one of Gods greatest creations.
If you don't believe the fore fathers of our country were Christians
and believed that God had an important place in our country,
then try reading Dee Wamplers book,
"One Nation Under God."

If you haven't watched the movies,
Earth, The Privileged Planet, and, A Case for a Creator,

then run, don't walk, and get these movies.
Gather your family around you and watch them together.
I promise they will inspire you
and give you a new insight into the creation and our creator, God.
You are not an accident.  You, can, re-new your hope.
