The
number one complaint I have at the moment concerns,
what I
refer to as the new Mafia
in Texas.
In my opinion that is what we should call Texas Power and Light.
They
supply electric at prices that would curl you eyebrows.
My bills
this month was $ 520.00.
I rent a small frame house which is
kept at 60 to 65 degrees.
My hot water is set to be on 12 , off 12.
I quit using my dishwasher. I wash most clothes in cold and
dry clothes mostly at night.
Most outlets have those dangerous new
bulbs.
You know the kind that make you evacuate the house if one get
broken.
We are trying to turn of the lights and TV when we are not
in the room.
However we do have 2 computers which we use a lot.
Now as I
understand it the government is not going to give us seniors
a small
increase in Social Security
because the cost of living has not gone
up. I don’t know where they live ,
but here in Texas every body’s
expenses are going up.
When I moved here 7 or 8 years ago my
electric bill was about $75.00 a month.
Now they want over $ 500.00
for the same product.
Did you ever notice how the electric company
keeps telling you how you can save money by taking steps to
save energy.
But then the companies penalize you if you don’t use
much electric,
as they sell, what you do use , to you at a higher
price
than to the person or company that used the most.
Why don’t
they give the seniors a break on their bill by giving them the
lowest rate
and let the companies that gobble up the power pay more.
Yes I am made as hell and would like to say, I ain’t going to
take it anymore.
But the truth is there is not a dam thing I can
do about it except complain,
and as I say, We get no respect as a customer
