Newlywed's List
By Joan Estelle High

There are three books that each newly wed couple will need.
The first book is a family Bible, their own copy of the "Good Book"
For within the Bible lies a foundation that each new  family needs.
For as they learn of God's love and forgiveness toward them,
Then they will learn how to love and to forgive one another.
A family that kneels together daily in prayer will stay together.
It doesn't mean that there won't be both good and bad times.
Just that God will be there to help you through thick and thin.

The second book each new family needs is a cook book.
A hot meal in a clean house is a necessary as good sex.
After a day in the real world a real meal is appreciated.
A hot cooked meal is more nurturing than a trip to McDonalds
Nothing says loving like something from the oven is still true today.
The way to a man's heart  is though his stomach (or general area)
The smell of bread baking in an oven is better than air freshener.

The third book  that a newly wed couple needs is a check book.
No matter who is president of the firm, you will need a treasurer.
For love can go out the window when poverty walks in the door.
You will also need a master plan on how to make the money.
You should have a budget  plan on how to spend the money.
There should be some kind of record of where the money went.
Make a plan to save a little money for old age comes suddenly.
Each person should have a little money that is theirs to spend alone.
