Update as of 10-15-2009
After much digging through many pages
I have finally got my line of grandmothers back from Ruth Thurston .
I may try to get some some documentation on this information but
for now
just knowing the names in my family tree will do at this time.
We start with Justina Thurston also known as Thruston born 1691
in England.
Justina was the daughter of John Thurston
or Thruston born 1668 and Elizabeth Elinor Cary born 1669
Both were from England and they married in 1690
Justina Thurston married John James (1688 ) in 1812.
They had a large family before he died in 1725
Ruth was born in 1726 and there is no known record.
Justina did name some of her other children with the Thurston
name.
Perhaps Ruth took her mother's name as her father was
deceased.
John James died in Va. and I don't know how his family got to
Delaware.
Thanks to a lead from Mr. Pusch who was researching the families of
the Mayflower which includes some of the Thurstons, and some
research
published on Roots I was able to trace my grandmothers to 1300
